In the last few years I’ve become fascinated with art of all mediums. I’ve exposed myself to a world of colour and creation that sparks joy and inspires me. I’m in awe of it all. From knitting, crochet and embroidery, to glass work, metal work, felting and soft sculpture. For my free inquiry however, I want to push myself to explore and experiment with illustration. I think that this free inquiry is the push I need to fulfill a dream I have of becoming a true creator myself. For so long I’ve admired from the sidelines, it’s about time I dive in. I’ve created an amazing workspace with more supplies than I know what to do with and yet it sits empty and my materials gather dust. The journey of artistic learning and growth has felt daunting to me and I’ve been hesitant to begin it. From the essentials of drawing and visual expression of ideas to the techniques for different illustration mediums. I’d like to develop skills and knowledge surrounding illustration and discover my own illustration style. My goal is to become a contributor within the community of creators instead of merely a spectator.
